The Cape Cod Rail Trail is a 22-mile paved rail trail. The trail is made up of an abandoned Old Colony Railroad corridor and extends from Route 134 in South Dennis to LeCount Hollow Road in South Wellfleet. The Cape Cod Rail Trail also connects to a few other bike trails, including the 6-plus mile Old Colony Rail Trail leading to Chatham, 8 miles of rolling trails within Nickerson State Park and the Nauset Bike Trail leading to Coast Guard Beach in Cape Cod National Seashore. The trail's paved surface and well-marked automobile crossings make it ideal for cyclists. The trail is also open for horseback riders, walkers and runners.
The Cape Cod Rail Trail is located in the mid-Cape area, in southeastern Massachusetts.
